Pharmacology of Antibiotics: Part 1
Tracking # 20-1003712
Course overview
Selection of antibiotics requires some knowledge about the type of organism as well as the drugs mechanism of action and spectrum of activity. Clinical experience is vital when prescribing antibiotics, as empirical dispensing has led to the major problem of bacterial resistance to almost every known antibiotic (Giacomini et al., 2021). This course seeks to clarify information on different types of antibiotics, indications and dosing for use, as well as adverse effects of use.
