Intense trauma, too much, too soon, too fast, or developmental trauma which is repetitive and longstanding, underlies most anxiety, depression, and other issues we deal with as psychotherapists. Having a whole-person approach to healing is vital for lasting change in our clients. Science has shown us that the body and mind carry our experiences for us, and it is crucial we know how to access them both in our healing journey. Activating the Higher Mind or what Dr. Carl Jung called The Capital S Self to help heal the fight/flight/ freeze/fawn of trauma is another crucial component in whole person healing. In this presentation, Dr. Shannon South, LCMHC will share with you a whole-person approach to healing trauma by using all of these aspects Body, Mind, and Spirit. Helping clients get beyond their story and into more joy, peace, love, and safety is what it is all about!
