Impact of Nutrition on Diabetes

Course overview
Nutrition and diet are major components in the management of diabetes. It is important nurses and registered dietitians/nutritionists (RDNs) educate and empower their patients to be active participants in the management of their diabetes in order to be successful in delaying or preventing disease complications. This course will review the role of diet and medical nutrition therapy for managing diabetes, common barriers to healthy eating, and counseling techniques to help patients be successful.
