Course overview
This two hour course on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) provides education about the Act of 1996 and the Law of 2003. This program will provide a general discussion on new regulations and privacy requirements for all health related information and record keeping requirements. The HIPAA Public Law 104-191, and the HIPAA Act of 1996 are defined. The limits of personal medical information are strictly defined. HIPAA information protection and law enforcement is also detailed.
