Our ability to help clients with a range of symptoms is often thwarted by unconscious beliefs learned during potent emotional experiences. Although such learnings are held in parts of the brain that are hard to reach with words alone, we can use recent neuroscientific discoveries in the field of memory reconsolidation to guide our clients in unlearning the emotional knowings that are keeping them stuck.
