This course will review the etiology and pathophysiology of BPH and describe available treatment options in detail, including appropriate administration, mechanisms of action, side effects, and contraindications. The role of each member of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients with BPH is essential. Clinicians must evaluate the patient, consider a differential diagnosis, and provide the patient with a treatment plan that will provide the patient with the best outcome.
