Screening and Prevention for Cervical Cancer

Course overview

This course discusses the basics of etiology, risk factors, screening methods, diagnosis, staging, and subsequent treatment of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer continues to affect thousands of patients. Still, increases in routine screening for patients ages 21 to 65 have resulted in a steady decrease in the number of diagnosed cases over the past decade. The goal of this course is to provide nursing and health education professionals with an updated overview of cervical cancer to inform patient care.
