Course overview
Evaluating the impact of lymphedema and providing individualized treatment is essential to supporting clients' occupational engagement and enhancing their quality of life. This course provides occupational therapy professionals with a brief overview of the cause of lymphedema, how it impacts a person's function and quality of life, and evidence-based methods for treatment. Strategies for minimizing the risk of developing lymphedema and long-term management regarding occupations are discussed. The goal of this course is to provide occupational therapy professionals with a foundational knowledge of lymphedema treatment.
