Course overview
This foundation course provides occupational therapy professionals with an overview of dementia and what to expect as a person progresses through the disease stages. Therapeutic interventions, including methods to support independence, maximize safety, and address ongoing patient and caregiver needs, are discussed. The goal of this course is to educate occupational therapy professionals about interventions for clients at each dementia stage.
