Course overview
Before you can help the friends and families of individuals living with dementia, you need to understand the physical and emotional toll that caring for their loved ones has on them. You should be comfortable using therapeutic communication to convey its use to others. This will help you minimize the fears and eliminate the burdens of the friends and families caring for someone with dementia. This course discusses the stresses and losses experienced by the loved ones of individuals with dementia. It also discusses how to help these caregivers provide safe care for their loved ones.
