UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLEXITIES OF HERBAL MEDICINE

Course overview

The goal of this program is to help nurses gain a basic understanding of the complexity of herbal medicine, including the nurses' role, US regulations, uses of selected herbs and valid resources for information. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to; identify nursing opportunities to help patients who are using herbal remedies, discuss current US requirements relates to manufacture and sale of herbal remedies, and identify at least three herbs commonly used by the public and their indications and contraindications.
