Learn moreCourse overview
This course reviews the demonstrated efficacy of an identified set of 28 intervention studies selected from a much larger pool of unique citations dealing with American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) Suicide. The authors concluded that the reviewed collection of studies were "methodologically innovative and suggest an overall benefit to the AI/AN communities." It is further proposed that future studies dismantle their interventions into underlying processes, evaluate these processes using direct, standardized measures of suicidal behavior, and incentivize AI/AN recruitment into research trials outside of Indian Country.
