PEROXISOMES ARE MULTIPLE MEMBRANE-BOUND INTRACELLULAR ORGANELLES INVOLVED IN CATALYZING VARIOUS FUNCTIONS IN CELLULAR METABOLISM AND BIOSYNTHESIS. THE ETIOLOGY FOR REFSUM DISEASE PRIMARILY DEPENDS ON THE PRESENCE OF ABERRANT GENES FOR SPECIFIC ENZYMES. THIS ACTIVITY DESCRIBES THE EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT OF REFSUM DISEASE.
