LIPOSUCTION REPRESENTS A WELL-DESCRIBED AND POPULAR SURGICAL PROCEDURE USED TO REDUCE LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OF ADIPOSE TISSUE IN CERTAIN REGIONS OF THE BODY. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE TECHNIQUE OF LIPOSUCTION HAS BEEN FURTHER REFINED AND HAS GAINED WIDESPREAD EMPLOYMENT, PARTICULARLY IN AESTHETIC PROCEDURES. THIS ACTIVITY WILL REVIEW THE TECHNIQUES OF LIPOSUCTION AND HIGHLIGHT THE ROLE OF THE INTERPROFESSIONAL TEAM IN EVALUATING AND TREATING PATIENTS UNDERGOING LIPOSUCTION.
