Course overview
This program will inform nurses about the Code of Ethics for Nurses, nursing ethics committees, and nursing advocacy in managed care, all of which help maintain the integrity of nursing. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: explain the ANA's Code 5, discuss what nurses and institutions can do to foster collegial nurse-physician relationships, state two functions of nursing ethics committees, and explain three ways nurses can advocate for an ethical healthcare system for all residents.
