The value of sleep on patient outcomes cannot be understated and must be addressed and included in a physical therapy plan of care. In this podcast, we discuss the science behind good sleep health, the impact sleep has on overall health, and the most common types of sleep dysfunctions, including prevalence, risk factors, and intervention. Using a case example, physical therapy professionals will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of sleep dysfunction and practical implementation strategies to improve sleep hygiene.
