Course overview
In histology, microtomy is a technique used to make very thin slices of tissues specimens for microscopic examination and to identify the abnormalities or atypical appearances in the tissue. Microtomy is one of the most important steps in histology. Good quality sections are necessary to yield best results for patient diagnosis and drug development. In this workshop, we will discuss types of microtomes, best methods for sectioning, and troubleshooting tips.
