Course overview

Understanding how to prepare for the biennial CLIA or CAP can be daunting. Each regulatory agency has different criteria for preparing, conducting and responding to the inspection. During this session, the speakers will discuss and assist the attendees with hints on what they have learned from being the recipients of both CLIA and CAP inspections. The workshop will also review changes to the CAP inspection process that have been made necessary due to hardship of performing in-person inspections brought on by the COVID pandemic. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of what is required and how to prepare for the new types of inspections available by the CAP. Lastly, this workshop will help guide attendees on writing proper responses to any deficiencies noted by either CAP or CLIA and a question and answer period.
