Reiki Level 1

Course overview

An introduction to Reiki that covers its scientific basis, its history, and its present form in the United States and other countries. Reiki 1 covers self-healing only, based on the principle we must be healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually before we can be an instrument of light and love to help others heal themselves. After an attunement by a Reiki Master and a discussion of that attunement, practice sessions allow the student to learn the techniques of delivering Reiki energy to both inanimate and animate subjects, such as food, plants, animals, and oneself. The principles and science behind the technique of Byosen Scanning will be offered, followed by practice with a partner from the class. A discussion of laws and statutes governing the practice of Reiki will be held, followed by a discussion of ethical considerations and practice conducting initial interviews will be monitored by staff.
