Course overview

How can we use antibody panels to help diagnose specific tumor types? Diagnostic algorithms are an important tool the pathologist will use, not only to diagnose specific tumors, but also to exclude certain conditions from the diagnosis. And the field is ever evolving. In this workshop, we will look at staining characteristics, unique applications and the diagnostic advantages of certain antibodies. We will also explore novel diagnostic markers (sweet fruit) that may be new to the audience. Understanding how these panels are developed (strong trees) and why certain antibodies are included is important for understanding the role of immunohistochemistry in the field of pathology. This workshop is designed to familiarize the audience with novel and routine antibodies and their applications. In addition, it will underline the importance of diagnostic panels to pathologists, so together, we can dominate the diagnosis.
