Course overview

Assisting a person with activities of daily living, or ADLs, is an essential part of your job. Many of those you care for will need some level of assistance with completing personal care. This course discusses how to provide person-centered care and promote independence when assisting with ADLs. It also discusses how to help a person with dementia in performing ADLs. The goal of this course is to educate direct care workers in post-acute care on providing assistance with ADLs through a person-centered care approach.
