Course overview

This course provides clinical staff and service technicians with the information necessary to safely clean equipment and protect themselves and others against potential infectious materials, and includes Centers for Disease Control disinfection definitions, Spaulding medical equipment classifications, types and uses of disinfection agents on classification of equipment cleaning, infection control guidelines, facilities layout, personal protective equipment, and equipment cleaning procedures.
