Course overview

This course is a real-life look at "running a peds code." We will begin with a review of pediatric arrest physiology. This course will stress appropriate BLS management, followed by guideline-driven basic and advanced life support measures. This course will utilize live footage and emphasizing realistic treatment of the arrested child; the goal is to help reduce anxiety in the participants and help them feel more comfortable with performing skills while fostering understanding of expected outcomes in the pediatric code situation.
