This program will provide nurses with knowledge they can use to work effectively with colleagues from culturally diverse backgrounds. After studying the information provided here, you will be able to: explain two ways that handshake etiquette differs around the world, describe two commonly used gestures that may be appropriate in one culture and offensive in another, and describe two gifts that can have a negative meaning to an international colleague.
