Course overview

Every year, roughly 33% of patients who enter the prehospital system do so for pain-related complaints, everything from traumatic injuries to chest pain. However, many of the patients experiencing pain do not receive adequate pain management. This 1.5-hour course aims to educate the Emergency Medical Technician on the physiology of pain and why pain control is so important.
