CE Provider Registration Requirements

Educational provider with courses approved by the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama

When registering as a board approved CE Provider, CE Broker will lead you through a simplified registration process. You will be asked to submit a CE provider profile and primary contact information. You will not be required to submit documentation to register as a provider with CE Broker. Once registered, you will need to submit a course application with applicable documentation.

Course Application Requirements
When submitting a course application, please be prepared to upload the following:

• Didactic/clinical subject matter
• Lecture participation
• Outline including who presenting to, date, location, and content of presentation material
• Hours commensurate with time spent
• Presenter qualifications

It is the opinion of the Board that any Continuing Education provider who wishes to have a course in infection control approved by the Board must cover all of the following topics in the course:

• Review of Science Related to Dental Infection Control
• Preventing Transmission of Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens
• Hand Hygiene
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Sterilization and Disinfection of Patient Care Items
• Environmental Infection Control
• Dental Unit Waterlines, Biofilms, and Water Quality
• Dental Handpieces and Other Devices Attached to Air and Water Lines
• Dental Radiology
• Single Use or Disposable Devices
• Preprocedural Mouth Rinse
• Handling of Extracted Teeth
• Dental Laboratory
• Program Evaluation

Courses will route directly to the board for approval. Once the course has been approved by the Board you will receive notification. Course will then be listed in the provider account and providers can report course completions.

Educational provider with courses approved by an Accredited dental/dental hygiene college or school

When registering as a rule approved CE Provider, CE Broker will lead you through a simplified registration process. You will be asked to submit a CE provider profile and primary contact information. You will also be required to submit proof of accreditation/approval by an Accredited dental/dental hygiene college or school.

Course Application Requirements
Courses do not route directly to the board for approval, therefore, you will only be registering your course in CE Broker. No documentation is required.

Educational provider with courses approved by a National, state, district or local dental/dental hygiene association

When registering as a rule approved CE Provider, CE Broker will lead you through a simplified registration process. You will be asked to submit a CE provider profile and primary contact information. You will also be required to submit proof of accreditation/approval by a National, state, district or local dental/dental hygiene association.
